Thank you for sharing the book’s author AND illustrator. I love your reason for choosing the book. Have confidence in taking a big breath before you start the story. This will make you separate your introduction from the book without feeling like you have to say “now I am starting…” In general, remember to breath, this will help you slow down a bit as well. I know you were probably trying to get all of the story in, but it is okay to just give us an excerpt. Keep going with what you are starting to do with the characters and the dialogue.
