Very powerful presentation, Victoria! I agree that this should still be read to children because of the complexities of these children’s lives within such a deeply divided country. The lessons that this book can continue to teach children, whether about justice, standing up for yourself, or even the theme of family, would be so valuable to them. These kinds of books will always serve to teach children about learning from the past and how to move forward in a better way.
