PreModule/Intro – Due 2/1
  • Get Started: a pre-module to help get oriented and set up on the Academic Commons. The module will take you through all of the following:
    • Learn about the Commons
    • Leave a comment on the Guiding Questions.
    • Answer tech survey
    • Answer intro survey
    • Make an introductory post when you have your account set up. This can include anything you want us to know. Experiment with the different blocks you can use.

If you are having trouble getting your Commons account set up, come back to making the introductory post. You can still leave comments and do all of the course readings without being logged in to the site.

Module 1 – Why Read? – Due 2/1 (Note that both the pre-module and module 1 are due)

Go through Module 1

  • Why Read? (3 videos – 7 min, 17 min, 17 min)
  • Why Read Aloud? (17 min read-aloud lesson audio/text) – COMMENT
  • Reading Aloud (video playlist approx. 20 min, 2 min short video) – optional comment

Choose a favorite book for your first presentation which will be due by POST before class on Thursday 2/8

      Submit the citations only for your fairy tale bibliography via email. What you are looking for is under the Assignments and under Resources there are some suggestions for finding your material for your third presentation and academic article.

      Annotated bibliography citations due via email – 3/19 end of day

      Submit citations via email 3/19 (Sunday) end of day.

      Bring 4 annotations to class for peer review activity.

      Any remaining fairy tale presentations will happen in class.
