    Along with themes of resiliency, family, and the importance of nature in character development, the two texts in this module have themes of identity, belonging, and the formation of the self in defiance of social norms. Both novels examine how people, particularly young girls, negotiate their relationships and surroundings while reflecting larger historical and cultural circumstances. These topics are frequently connected to current concerns like gender roles, cultural identity, or the conflict between individualism and uniformity in classmate presentations. These conversations shed light on the works’ applicability by demonstrating how the hardships and victories of their characters speak to contemporary readers while also providing a critical analysis of historical accounts.

    I noticed that both novels have themes of resilience and overcoming challenges. The stories approach these themes, but they play out through different cultures and give viewers varied perspectives on similar issues. They relate to the presentations by my classmates because the books and contemporary passages that they are presenting explore these themes as well. They similarly use different views but have common ideas of a character facing a challenge with themselves that they must overcome. Overall, these themes have been present in books from the past and continue to stay releavent today.

      Well said! As many well-known stories include themes of overcoming challenges, they also include their own unique characters that represent themes in different ways. It is very interesting to pay attention to how similar themes can be represented through thousands of different stories that although share similar messages, have very different factors.

      I agree theme have been present in books from the past and continue to stay relevant today. We see the same themes but they are portrayed differently .

    Some themes that I’ve noticed in the novels is overcoming obstacles or challenges and resilience. These stories are portrayed through different cultures, which may give different perspectives on issues that are similar to one another. These topics are connected to topics such as individualism and cultural identity.They relate to the presentations given by my classmates because what they are presenting explore these themes too. There are different views but have common ideas. Several of the themes have played a significant part in books throughout history and continue to do so in modern day times.

    Some themes I have noticed in the two books from this module are certainly resilience and overcoming challenges, though they explore these ideas differently and provide its readers with diverse perspectives towards similar challenges. These themes of resilience and facing challenges/difficulties relate to some of the presentations I have been watching from my classmates because both the novels and the presentations of my peers explore similar concepts but through different views and outlooks. These universal themes have resonated in literature across generations, as it highlights the relevance of each piece(novel/presentation) by showing how the struggles of their main characters resonate with modern readers, and how this continues to stay significant through the course of generations.

    Several novels and presentations examine the themes of overcoming hardships and resiliency. These novels and lectures provide a variety of perspectives on situations that are similar. Individualism and cultural identity link these issues, significantly influencing literature throughout history. Both novels and presentations examine similar problems, albeit from different perspectives. Writers have employed these universal themes for many years, highlighting the significance of each work by illustrating the challenges the main characters encounter. The ideas of resilience and facing problems are still relevant to modern readers, which shows how important resilience is for getting past problems.

    One of the theme that occurred frequently in the module is the theme of challenge. Themes of challenge often involve characters facing obstacles that lead to personal growth or resilience, for example, like Anne’s struggles. This can be related to some of the presentations presented by my classmates because a lot of the story or storyline involves this theme. Overcoming challenges and the growth of a character.

    I did find similarities in these presentations because of the way they discuss individuality and some culture identity. Each storyline varies and was interesting, making me want to keep reading however you can assume the theme just by each part being read. Each main character experiences challenges and growth of the main character.

    Anne of Green Gables and Little House on the Prairie both focus on themes like self-discovery, resilience, and the importance of family and community. These themes connect to my classmates presentarion of The Boxcar Children,where siblings work together to create a home despite hard times. A common idea in all these books is independence and creativity. They show how young people can make their way through difficult situations while learning about themselves and the world around them.

    I think Anne of Green Gables can absolutely relate to themes you see in books like Harriet the Spy and The Boxcar Children–They encourage curiosity in the world around them and investigation, as well as imagination.

    What motifs and themes have you noticed in the two books in this module? How do they relate to some of the presentations you have been watching from your classmates?

    They relate to a theme and interconnect with the plots. The way the stories are being presented and told. Many of the stories are trying to teach a lesson.
